antonuccia, the best school is probably the one you feel is best suited for you. As for ave ssat, start with boarding school review. They have alot of info that may be of interest to you. Good luck to you

edit: maybe the best school is the one you decide to attend.

i could not find those ssat scores on boardingschoolreview.com and i want to know so i know where i want to apply

I have average SSAT data that is a few years old.

Choate: 85%
Taft: 81%

Petersons.com is more reliable and accurate. Check that out.

Above quoted Choate and Taft average SSAT scores are accurate. Both are good schools. I loved the Choate campus but it's pretty spread out. I figured I would be hoofing it between classes. Didn't visit Taft because the athletic opportunities there were not as good as the other schools that I visited (Hotchkiss, Deerfield, Choate, Exeter, and St. Marks). Didn't like the Deerfield campus although the school is excellent. Athletic opportunities are great, too.

I am a senior at Exeter and love the school. It's been a great experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.

What specifically is Taft missing athletically?
In my experience they have a great (and successful) program.

You are correct. Taft has an excellent athletic program. However, the Taft coach was less encouraging to me based on the projected roster spots that he would have open when I entered the school.

Taft is a great school. I am surprised that it isn't mentioned more on this website.

Antonuccia -- When you get your SSAT scores, you will also get your projected SAT scores. You can compare your projected SAT scores to the SAT ranges of your selected schools to see if you are in the range. This is another way to see how you compare to their accepted students.

If I had a dollar for every thread entitled, "What is the best prep school?" then I would actually be able to afford prep school.

Jonathan1 how could you pay yourself. Many of them have been started by you.lol

Try looking at Kent

Do you mean Loomis Chaffe in Connecticut? They're all good schools, doesn't really matter where you go.

For German Spanish Fench and Japanese.....St. Paul's by far
For Sciences...Exeter
Fot humanities......St. Paul's

All of the above schools are excellent and certainly top-tier. I suggest visiting the schools, and seeing which one you feel most comfortable at.

Proctor is the best school in NE...

PTY, that's an opinion, not a fact.

I was just kidding Olivia.

Sorry, PTY. :)
Do you go to Proctor?
