what is the bottom end of admission

Hello, I am seeking some help from knowledgable locals.
I am currently considering moving my business from LA to the midwest. I am considering Ohio as well as Indiana at this point.
I would move this summer. My wife and Daughter(hs junior) will remain in LA and finish HS. Since I will be paying taxes and living in Ohio, I am told by officials that my D application will be viewed as in state. She is a B student. Her GPA is 3.25-3.3. I do not think she will do well on her SAT. Her PSAT was not very good.
I noticed online that close to 80% of instate applicants get an offer of admission. Can anyone tell me what the lower end of the admission scale is? I know the high end is very good. We are not there. The size of Miami feels right for my daughter. We will visit in April. I am trying to get a handle if she even has a chance. Not being from the area, I do not know the subtleties of Miami. Guidance, advice, and perspective is requested.

Thanks

Look at the CDS-C section of the [Common Data Set for Miami](<a href=“Page Not Found on the Users, Units, or Orgs Server | Miami University”>Page Not Found on the Users, Units, or Orgs Server | Miami University).

There you will see the number of students accepted for both ACT and SAT scores. For example, in 2010-2011 the 25th percentile[/url”>Percentile - Wikipedia]percentile was 520 Reading SAT and 550 Math SAT.

The 25th percentile is the score that 25 percent scored at or below.

socaldad: Miami of OHio also has binding ED which, I would imagine, would be a better shot than EA or RD there…over on the “B” students thread, mhc just visited with his daughter…he may be helpful as well…

Rodney,

thanks for the suggestion. I will look for it.

socaldad42…move your business to Indiana. Our Governor (Mitch Daniels) is the BOMB!
