What is the earliest I will hear back?

My D applied about 3 weeks ago. I know they say they don’t review applications until October but am wondering what people have experienced when they apply early and if it makes a difference at all.

@Laurelea last year they started accepting people in early October and it seemed that the rejections and wait-lists weren’t announced until February. From what I could see, the stronger the application the earlier the acceptance. It’s a stats-driven admission so it really comes down to GPA and test scores for most people.

Here are the admission stats for each college:

Here are a couple of more links that would be interesting. I would say if you are in the middle 50th percentile the admittance chance is good.

I applied just over 10 days ago, but can’t send in an official transcript until the first week of September because of my school- although nothing’s showed up as missing on my tracker! Nonetheless, best of luck to your D  Is it her top choice?

@freezycool that was true for my D as well last year. She had to wait till school was in session to get the counselor to send the transcripts. I have another child in another high school that uses Parchment so for her we can just order them anytime. So. Much. Easier.

I don’t think the tracker ever said “missing” last year. I could be wrong but my recollection is that they received stuff and logged it - and once everything that is required is logged the tracker will switch to “complete”.

I just called her school counselor and she sent in her transcript right away. This is for sure her top choice. Her numbers put her right in the middle of the pack though so we are so nervous

@Lauralea I would say if you are middle of the pack per the links I attached above you should be in good shape. No need to be nervous!

Good Luck!!!

Thanks @CyclonesGrad . It’s going to be a long few months to wait
