WHAt is THISSSSS??????plz help,

ok ok, i cchecked my email today and saw this, "exciting NEWSS", before i opened it i was literally jumping for joy, i know a lil too soon!! so ya this is what it says....

"a Priority Mail package from the University of Richmond is on its way to your mailbox right now.

This Priority Mail package contains very exciting news regarding the application you submitted to the University of Richmond, and time-sensitive documents that we ask you to read through carefully, and promptly return to our Office of Admission.

If this package does not arrive by Monday, March 27, please call ...."

ok, if its exciting then it must be an acceptance, however a "time sensitive documents, promptly return...?????" what the heck, that makes me nervous, what could they be asking for, i have this feeling that it is my third quarter grades, is that possible??? has this happened to anyone at same or different schoool.

Background info: after recieving an email from them weeks ago about the notice in decling grades, i sent them a letter detailing my extenuating circumstances in which i basically wrote that i'm tottally focused right now. so i think they might ask for this quarters grade which isnt out yet but the interim grades are, i'mmmmm sooo nervoussssss...! thats so unfair if they do that too me, becuase my grades right now suck.

cmon ppl, need some response!!!

Means death is only the beginning.

PS: call the office and ask.

dam kid, i'm serious, w/e i'll just wait for the letter, like i'm supposed too... later

well......if your grades suck.....they may reject you....c'mon its the truth!!
But the possibility of rejection depends on how strong your impression was in the beginning........and you'd better have a gud excuse for ur grades.....I do know one guy who didnt get his admission rescinded after his gades dropped from As and Bs to Cs and Ds......coz his initial impression was that strong!

i hate to think soo....

maden, once you get it, can you let us know? I'm kind of curious.

p.s. I think "EXCITING NEWS!" would hardly be indicative of a rejection. just a thought.

If they told you that and rejected you, that would be an exercise in cruelty.

maybe just some genius ploy to get ur liking for the place up

^^cud be ..... they'll do anything to get you to like the college!!!

Priority mail and "EXCITING NEWS" both mean it's not a rejection. The "time sensitive material" could just be referring to the May 1st notification date, but likely refers to a scholarship/aid opportunity or an invitation to a special visit day.

It sounds really encouraging. You might check this thread in the URichmond forum, but it doesn't say much yet.
