Major: Psychology
Gpa: 4.0 (still waiting on summer grades)
Berkeley has been my dream school for years now but I’m still applying to ucla, ucsd, and ucr(local university). Hopefully I get into cal and proceed to med school.

@ SBaz45: That’s really good. You will get into CAL! What med. school pre-reqs have you completed so far at CC?

Major: Psychology
Current GPA: 3.92 (4.0 for major req) ; hoping for 3.93 by the end of Fall.
71 transferrable units, IGETC will be completed by the end of Fall.
Trend: Upwards? First quarter had a 3.95, then second quarter had to drop classes for a medical reason so I got two Fs and a C, took spring off to get better, 4.0 since then.
Planing to apply to UCB, UCLA, UCSC, and UCSB. Really, really hoping for Cal, though.

Thanks @psychbruin2012 I’m taking general Chem 1A right now, I’ll be finishing my bio requirements this year and then finishing up general Chem 1B next summer. I’m focusing on my pre reqs right now for Berkeley. I’ll just be taking O Chem and physics at Berkeley.

@ SBaz45 Sounds like a plan. =] Good luck! I am also a psychology/pre-med student…I have taken general chemistry…taking general biology/physics next year and Ochem when I transfer. =/

resurrected.

Hopefully Cal with civil engineering, idk :(, just really paranoid about that major @ Cal ( ranked No.1 in the whole nation).

GPA : Current 3.9 / will b ~3.94 by the time i transfer.
Prereqs: done by Spring 2k12

Chance me plz :(

P/S : I heard bad rumors about Cal people, something like very competitive, dead campus, hard to find a parking lot and such. But if I can get in, i think i can bear those things in 2 yrs :D

Currently: 3.09GPA
Taking 28, maybe 32, units at the moment. (Two colleges)
Expected a max of 3.4GPA, saying I get straight A’s.
TAP certified after this FALL.
Applying for Linguistics and Asian Languages and Culture for UCLA, East Asian Language for UCI.

EDIT:91 to 94 units by the end of fall. All transferable to UC’s. How does this work…?

Wow, reading through this forum makes me seriously wonder if I have a shot at transferring at all. :(

GPA: 2.88
Hope to have my pre-reqs done by spring for CS. I already have enough units to transfer, and had applied last year. I was denied.

Though whatever happens, this is my LAST YEAR at community college. Come what may.

Current GPA: 3.4
Predicted GPA (spring 11)- 3.6
Transfer units: 61, (89 by spring 11) switched major =)
Already did a TAG to UCSB econ dept and almost done w calc series and IGETC(Chem). I know for sure though that im getting outta CC my CSU gpa is actually lower than my UC gpa lol plenty of backup schools.

Major: Haas/Biz Econ
Current GPA: 4.0
Predicted GPA: 4.0
Prereqs: All done by end of Fall except calc 2. Done by end of Spring.
Transfer units: 90+?
IGETC: Done
TAG: UCSD

Seems like Haas is such a crapshoot Not nearly as formulaic or predictable as other majors. I’m pretty sure it’s all going to come down to my personal statements and chance.

Major: Electrical engineering
Current GPA: 3.90
GPA by end of spring: 3.93
Prereqs: Finish by spring
Schools applying to: UCLA, UCSD, Cal

Where are all the engineering majors?

Major: Electrical Engineering (or EECS)
UCLA, UCB, UCSD, TAG w/ UCSB, I might just apply to UCI and UIUC too.
current gpa: 3.77( mostly A’s and A-'s with one class I messed up badly)
end of fall: 3.76-3.86
end of spring: i have no idea
IGETC: practically done by this quarter.
50 CCC units completed so far +10 AP units. Its going to be 97.5 by end of fall quarter and 120+ by the end of the year.

prereqs finished for UCLA by end of spring,
there will still be 5 classes that aren’t available at any nearby schools for UCB,but I’ll most probably finish everything else by end of spring. I don’t plan on finishing all the courses for UCSD and UCSB.

UCLA’s last years EE was 3.81, so I’m on the border here for that. Some Berkeley adviser told me the average admitted to EECS was 3.7. Seems a bit low?

Friednoodles, I think your gpa is in the safe range.

Current GPA: 3.6

Course Load: 16 units

Tag: Will finish in Spring

Expected GPA: 3.75-3.8

Upwards trend, hopefully all A’s in my classes this semester

Major: Econ @UCSD, Legal studies @berk, History @UCLA, and biz admin @UCR

I’m guessing that im automatically in @UCSD and UCR due to tag, so i’m gearing my personal statement towards UCLA and UCB. Good Luck to all fellow prospective! :)
