Right now I'm signed up for a walking class, but I've been thinking about taking weight lifting instead.. I'd like to build some upper body strength and having to take it for a grade is good motivation to stick with a program.

I don't really want to be the only non-bodybuilding type person in the class though.. has anyone ever taken it? How does it work? Do they set you up a program, or what?

I took it a couple of semesters ago and no one was a bodybuilding-type person.

A TA will teach it and usually they will just say, “go lift weights.” It’s pretty slack but if the TA catches someone just sitting around he makes the whole class runs stairs at Kenan (at least my TA did).

They will teach you how to make a program yourself but won’t make you stick to it.

I would take it if I were you. There’s no pressure and it allocates time for you to workout.
