Okay, yeah, I know, I should not even be applying to Penn if I can't find this information myself...but do they need one from a science/math teacher and a social studies/english teacher or is one each from social studies AND english teachers okay?

Forgive me for my lameness...

Get major-related recommendations. If you want to go into business, get one from your business teacher.

I don't have a business teacher?...

How about a mathematics or econ teacher?

Oh wait
I just read your question properly lol
Errhhmm...
I could be wrong, but I think you should get one from social studies/english and one from science/mathematics. I think that pertains to everyone? Not sure

No that means one teacher should be science or math and the other should be english or social studies.

Maybe I just have a really low IQ for navigating websites, but the UPenn admissions site has almost no information as to what I need for my application--what is everyone else doing, and how did you figure it out?

i got my recs from an english teacher and from a history teacher and applied to wharton and got it. i seriously believer recs are to see the type of student you are and the character you possess. nothing more than that. your scores in tests will show your quantitative or whatever skills.

i think an admissions officer told me they want any academic subject teacher rec, so that's like math/science/history/english/foreign language
