By clicking on Splonk’s link, I accidentally saved a picture of someone’s arm to my photos.

I was thinking of getting an infinity sign with the word “infinitas” either below it or have the sign made out of the word on my arm, but smallish. im a guy though and i dont know if this would qualify as feminine. cant let my guard down bruh. gotta put up that front, ya heard?

^^ I clicked on a picture during the communist invasion, and saved a picture of this balloon tank to my photos

^ i liek that one.

^^Sweet.

The 3D tattoos look cool. I wouldn’t want one though but it takes a lot of talent from the artist to make one correctly.

I’m getting the Liverbird :]

Dude. I saw THE best tattoo ever today. An outline of all the continents on the left shoulder blade-- I swear I’mma get it.

my many ideas:

the logo of one of my favorite bands is a white dove, so i’m getting that on my shoulder blade.

the cover of invisible monsters by chuck palahniuk on my leg

“haligh” (part of a song title)

“save me from ordinary, save my from myself” somewhere on my arm

“veins full of disappearing ink” (a 3rd song lyric) in white ink

I want a tattoo, for a friend of mine that passed away. I just want her nickname in cursive. I want it either on my wrist or my foot. I really want it on my wrist, but I worry about being able to cover it up for jobs in the future or for whatever reason. Then again it would be simple enough I’m sure concealer would do the trick.

^Concealer does cover up tattoos great. It’s what I use if I need to cover that tattoos on my wrist–that, or I’ll use bangles and other bracelets.

I want a new tattoo so badly. I know exactly what I want on the under side of my right arm, I also want another on my left side/waist area, another on the back of my neck, and another on the inside of my pointer and middle finger. But alas, I’m broke at the moment.
Maybe I can lure my mother’s boyfriend into paying for it…

I have a tattoo on my right hip of a little red heart.
I want two more- a small image of the continent Africa on my inner ankle and a fish with PEACE written inside on the top of my foot :)

tattoos always have to mean something

romani: sorry this is so late. my computer got a virus so ive been off and on the internet for awhile.

im not allowed to have a tattoo for religious reasons, and i completely agree with it. besides, i just put on some henna if i really want something done. but i cant help but say that some tattoos look really pretty. i hate it when ppl over do it though, and get the whole sleeve or all over their faces. somehow it just strikes me as tacky and unnatural.

my parents would never allow me to get a tattoo, but thats because we follow the same religion, so i understand why they wouldn’t allow me completely. my parents seem like reasonable people, and ultimately they have to trust me to make the right decision when i leave home for college. I respect my religion and my parents rules, so i guess my reasons are intertwined…

wow… sorry i didnt expect this post to get so long!

^ As I said, if it’s for religious reasons, I completely understand :). My whole thing is, I’ll never understand why parents or sons/daughters think that a parent has control over your body once you’re 18. That’s all :)

^ thanks =D

your point makes sense. our parents can tell us what they want, and i feel that they say it for our own good, but ultimately it really is up to us what we choose to do. i just hope that people understand why their parents don’t want them to get a tattoo rather than just disregard w/e their parents say just because they are their parents. i actually asked my parents why not, and they told me their reasons.

^ That’s good. No, I completely agree. My parents aren’t exactly for tattoos, but I told them at 13 that I wanted a tattoo that said my grandmother’s name (as I had had a near-death experience and she was there… it’s a long story. Plus it’s “Grace” so I get both her name and the word “grace” with the same tattoo lol) and they completely supported it. When my best friend (who is like their daughter and is actually living at my house while I’m in Costa Rica lol) got 2 tattoos that looked horrendous they openly made fun of her lol. She got it just so she could say she had tattoos, and then wondered why they looked bad. :(

I agree, get a tattoo for you and not just so you can stick it to your parents. That’s stupid. But also don’t feel bad about getting one (if it’s what you want) just because your parents might disapprove. You need to live your life by your terms, not by your parents’. This goes for every aspect of life- choosing a college (although when they’re paying, this gets a bit murky), a career, a spouse, tattoo, piercings, etc. Once you’ve turned 18 and they are no longer supporting you, that is. If you’re living off their dime then you should probably still follow their rules.
