What law schools would...

an English degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi get me into? I have my sights set on UT and St. Mary's, and I'll probably apply to an Ivy league law school as well (unsure which one at this point). So far, I have a 3.8 GPA (4.0 but transfer hours from HS knocked it down a bit), and am in the Honors Program. Other than that, I don't have many EC's but that will change soon. Any thoughts? I realize it isn't the best school so that's why I ask.

Excluding LSATs, of course.

Your undergrad school doesn’t matter much. Your HS credits won’t (I don’t think) count on your LSAC GPA, so if you can knock out a 3.9-4.0 GPA and nail the LSAT you can go to any school in the country. Your LSAT score is going to matter a whole lot more than your undergrad institution, so I’d start the prep work early and often. It is a very learnable test.

Any college credits you took before receiving your bachelor’s degree (even in HS) will count in your LSAC GPA.

Your UG college doesn’t really matter, only your GPA does. Since your GPA is good and won’t keep you out of any schools, your LSAT score will largely determine where you should apply to law school. 170+ and you will probably have several T14 acceptances.

Thanks for the responses, they are appreciated.
