What math class to take senior year????

I have the choice of either Pre-Calculus or a class know as "Math in Society", which I am told is a college-level class and is being offered as a College in the Classroom class, where we can pay fees to earn college credit through a local community college. Should I do Pre-Calc or Math in Society, or both? Which route would look best for college?

Pre-Calculus.

I’d choose precalculus. You’ll almost certainly see it again, while “Math in Society” sounds like a watered-down math-y class.

Precalc. The other sounds like personal finance or something of an easy nature

I’ve never heard of it and it doesn’t sound very advanced.

I am going to lean with precalc here.

Pre-calc. I looked on 2 different college websites and “Math in Society” was a lower numbered course than precalculus.

Not directly related to this post but could the OP take AP stats instead of Pre-Calc if he believes that they believe that pre-calc will be to diffucult/they are not interested in pre-calc?

That depends on the OP’s school’s requirements.

But even if you had a choice to do Stats, go with Precalc. It’s a lot more useful and forms the basis of all the college math you’ll be taking.
