Hi!
I am a Canadian High School student enrolling into my junior year in HS, and have planned to study in South Korea for university, specifically SNU, and to major in Theoretical Particle Physics.
I was wondering exactly what requirements (grades- not GPAs, since we do not record GPAs in my city, English skill, Korean language skill, talents, hobbies, etc.) will help me get into SNU, as I am passionate about studying there and eventually becoming a researcher/ theoretical physicist (specifically string theorist), and may become a professor/ lecturer as well, living in South Korea.
I am doing my diploma exam for Math- 30 AP this year, along with Math- 31 Calculus AP in my senior year. I am also doing all three sciences all in AP, because I enjoy learning and studying.
I also have work experience and am enrolled in Ballet as an extra curricular and have been taking ballet since I was 2, so I would assume that qualifies as a hobby.
I was also contemplating on becoming a foreign exchange student in Gr. 11 or Gr. 12 to South Korea (hopefully for 10 months so I can understand the language better.)
I speak 4 languages English, ASL, French and German all fluently, and I can speak a descent amount of Korean, however, I want to eventually become fluent- or close proximity to fluency as I can get.
I can also adapt to different cultures and ways pretty fast.
Can someone guide me, or at least give good, firm advice and tips on how I can increase my chances of getting into SNU, in the Physics department, or sciences in general.
감사합니다! (Thank You!)

Out of curiosity, are you ethically South Korean?

SNU is fine to have as a reach (SNU is one of the Korean “reaches-for-anyone”) but I assume your safety is at home…

Take a look at this thread. It might help. If not, you can message me for more help ^^
