What school -- other than UPenn -- asks for a photo?

I thought I saw some more asking for pictures.. but, apparently I've only encountered UPenn. What other schools ask for a photo?

A year ago when I was applying, Columbia did too. I don't remember, but it might have been optional.

Yes, Columbia asks for a photo, and it is optional.

Yes, Columbia does this year as well. I believe Pomona does too.

Pomona. positive.

Emory does; it's optional, though.

Vassar, it is optional

I did the Pomona online application. I didn't include a photo, and I don't remember them asking...Did they? :O

just optional ^ .

"to remind them that you're human"

Pomona and Georgetown (paper app). Both were optional-for Pomona's, though, the same sheet that the photo needs to be sent with is the "required signatures" form (that's not part of the common app-it needs to be sent in separately via snail mail).

Some schools ask in order to validate the student's ethnicity.

A photo can't validate ethnicity.

Georgetown has an optional photo. For some reason they want you to write the date it was taken on there? anyone know the purpose of that?

^^It'd be funny if someone sent in a baby photo with your DOB on it.

TBH, I have no clue why the would do that. Maybe its to make sure you still look the same.

I'm just curious, what's the purpose of that? It only makes me wonder if being attractive is now advantageous to the college admissions process lol

I believe William and Mary said you could send a photo with your paper app - it was optional, though. I've always thought it was a little tacky - unless it was an emotive self-portrait or something I don't really see the point. Maybe I'm just bitter because I'm not too cute myself.

Pratt asks for a self portrait.

I think UNC Chapel Hill does. Brown too... I think.

Optional for Vassar. I'm glad this option is available, because I have an excellent picture to send in. Shallow...sad, but true.
