What schools should I aim for?

Hey Everyone!

I just found out about this place and I was wondering what all you other over-achievers thought my chances of getting into Brown or other Ivies were:

Background: Caucasian; however, I moved here from the Ukraine and Russian is my first language.
School: Swampscott Public (Extremely Suburban)
GPA: 93 Unweighted 99 Weighted
Rank: 7 Unweighter 8 weighted (out of 193)
PSATs: 69 Critical Reading 74 Math 76 Writing Skills
(haven't gotten SAT scores back)

keep in mind i'm only a junior

Clubs: Science Team (2 years), Math Team (3 years), Chess Team (first board, 3 years), Spanish Club, International Relations Club (2 years), Political Action Club (1 year), Mock Trial (1 year), Marching and Concert Band (Flute, Piccolo, Sousaphone, Tuba, 3 years), National Honors Society

Outside of School: Karate (7 years), I've held down a job at CVS since end of sophomore year and plan to continue till (or through) college

Volunteer Credits: Habitat for Humanities, My Brother's Table, My Brother's Table's Garden Party, but my major volunteer work is once a week at my dojo (karate studio) I help younger students.

Educational Trips: Harvard Model Congress, Model United Nations, Band Trip

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out, any comments or personal cases would be appreciated!

Great EC's!

I'm a junior too.
I think you should aim for Cornell... especially if your SAT scores are 1420 or higher...
actually don't aim for Cornell, because you'll be taking up a spot, and it might be harder for me to get in lol.

You may also stand out if you apply for Dartmouth, Duke, Columbia, UPenn...
and I think Brown is also very feasible.

thanks for the replies!!

I've been really thinking about UPenn Cornell and Brown. UPenn especially after I visiting Philly. Seems like a great place to go to college. wanderer what were your SAT scores? Should I send a commendation letter from PSATs to ivy colleges? Does that show that I'm a good student or rather not good enough to get semi-finalist status?

Could I get into Brown, Cornell, anything ivy?

It all depends on the major you want to do. Do you know what major you wanna go into?..Sometimes, there are schools outside of the ivys that are just as good, if not better, for a specific major.

What major I'm interested in is also a problem. I've been thinking about majoring in Biology because from Biology (or at least so I've heard) I can go into many different fields: Law (specifically patent law), Medicine, Research Science, and possible other medicine related areas. Any opinions on this? My favorite subjects in school are maths and sciences and I feel a pull towards finance, law, research science, medicine... to put it bluntly I'm too shaky on my major it seems =(

AlmostAlbert;

While your EC's and scores are good, I feel as though you are missing the point of education. It is not merely to go to the prestigious Ivies, but rather to learn to think at the institute best suited for you. Your vital statistics are, however, impressive, thus leading me to recommend to you the College of the Ozarks in Southern Missouri.

is'nt that the college thats free but you have to work while you are there?

holy moly guys! SAT's scores are in from December 4th! How are these compared with ivy bound students? I'm taking them again in January hoping to boost my verbal and possibly my math:
Verbal 690
Math 780
