What should I do?

So I (a junior) took my SAT for the first time and received a 2220 (Math 770 CR 720 Writing 730 + 11 essay). I'm looking to apply to Penn with a relatively decent application (in my opinion). Is it worth it to retake for a higher score because I know it's bad if you don't improve from your first score.

Hi! If you’re certain that you could raise your scores higher, you should definitely go for it!
I think you could raise math and writing with some more practice tests since they just require practice and memorization (I sucked at CR hehe)

I’m currently applying to colleges with a 2220, and I wish i had taken another shot at it… but that’s just my opinion. Good luck :)

I would only retake it if you think you could score higher. People with a 2400 have been rejected. But I wish, I’d have taken it again. :)

Id focus on getting high SATII scores. If you know you can go above 2220, go ahead but I think you should put priority to revising for and getting 800 in MathII and whatever other subject test is applicable to your course. I got into Penn with a 2240, so I wouldn’t worry too much.

Ok thanks guys. I’m planning on taking Math II and the Latin subject tests, so I’ll focus on those for now.

I personally don’t think you should waste time on prepping for SAT 1 since you already have a great score. 2200+ is totally up to par so spend time building your resume and keeping your grades up.
