<p>i want to do something for condolences at a funeral for my bfs grandpa</p>
<p>his grandpa's in the process of dying(but they're already planning the funeral its that iminent) like this weekend soon
i've become incredibly close w/ his family and while i never met his grandpa i feel for them</p>
<p>he always wanted to introduce me to his grandpa but due to the deteriation of health me even going down their was rare this summer he came up(we were long distance) to NY instead</p>
<p>they've opened up their home so many times and they know me better then my own parents i want to do something for the entire family any ideas b/c i love my bfs family like my own</p>
<p>I cannot go to funeral we're both in FL he wil only go up...he lives in Delaware and i don't have financial means to go home more then turkey day-christmas spring break + summer he doesn't normally either but this is an emergency</p>
<p>Your BF should call the airlines and ask about a "Bereavement Fare". These tickets usually offer a bit more flexibility (such as no surcharges for changing a return date), and will get him on a plane even if someone else has to be bumped so that he can have a seat. He will probably need the name of the dead person and the funeral home/facility that is handling the services, so that the airline can call and check about it if they have doubts.</p>
<p>In your situation, a handwritten personal letter of sympathy will do. Believe me, it will last longer (both physically and in memory) than any flowers you can send.</p>
<p>im sitting in math class bored and i get a phone call from him text him i cannot talk and he says my grandpas gone now thankfully class was almost over i tell him hang in their for 5 more minutes and i will b over as soon as im done....</p>
<p>he's coping funerals next weekend instead of his parents coming down for parents weekend he's going home for the funeral....</p>
<p>he's gotta good weekend planned i feel bad for him but his grandpa was like i want my death to b celebrated(he's one of those) i've heard of world series(his dad gets tickets to games a lot) tickets possibly that would b huge he's a phillies man all the way</p>
