Currently, I have

Arabic: B+
Art: A
Us History: A
Islamic Culture: A-
PE: A
Chemistry: A
Pre-calculus: A
French: B-
English: B

The question is if the people admission officers select main courses excluding the non-pivotal courses like IC, ARABIC OR FRENCH? Or do they simply check the overall GPA.

This is because I want to go in the field of science. So, according to me, shouldn't they merely look at science, pre calc, us his, and English because if that's so my GPA will be much higher than 3.590(current GPA)?

Every college is different, but most will focus on the 5 core subjects: English, math, science, history/social studies, and foreign language.

The only classes from that list they will “exclude” are art and PE. They will count foreign languages and what I can only assume is a history elective (?)

None of those subjects are elective. Matter a fact, going to this school I forgot what’s an elective?
anyhow, all of these courses are mandatory (esp. IC AND ARABIC) as I live in Saudi Arabia.

Ah so its another required course. Most likely it would be included, but it really depends on what the course entails. Arabic is most definitely included. That would be your equivalent of an english course in the US, yes (ie native language class)?

@guineagirl96 really?
by the way, it is not my native language because I wasn’t born here. In any case, whatever you are saying applies to all the universities or just some of them? Because @skieurope said something totally different.

Let me restate, because guineagirl and I are stating the same thing.

Every college is different, but most will focus on the 5 core subjects: Primary language of instruction, math, science, history/social studies, and foreign language(s). Where the primary language of instruction is not English, proof of English proficiency via TOEFL will be required.

Ok, @skieurope. Could you just name the subjects, I take, for me to calculate THAT particular GPA. Just name the subjects that are accounted. Thanks.
