<p>The Common App only lets you see when your application (and supplements) are downloaded. It doesn't allow you to know if the teacher recs or counselor rec or transcript has been received. </p>
<p>Some schools will email you to let you know they're received all your stuff. Others will email you only if you have something missing. Yet others will never email you. </p>
<p>I've heard that it's best to call/email them about 2 weeks after you've posted your supplementary things.</p>
<p>Some colleges have online sites that give you the status of your application. If they have one, they will mail you a userid and password.</p>
