hi guys, so recently i became really interested in a career for investment banking. And I'm just looking for some advice on what to do. I currently go to a non target school(STJOHNS) and did really bad my first term of freshmen year (2.74), but once i transferred into the business school I recieved a 3.7 spring term than a 3.8 last term and currently looking at a 3.85-4.0 . I applied to Baruch but was rejected. Anyone think I should try to xfer again for spring 2010 or finish off as a finance major at St. Johns? I know St. John's doesnt have any good investment banking intern offers, is it still possible to get into one of those GS/JPM/UBS summer internships for my junior year? and what kind of jobs should i be looking for to make my resume look nice for the Summer intern programs? any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Honestly, I doubt it. Banks have focused their hiring even more on target firms with the way things are, and it would be very difficult for you to get an offer. I would look for MM/Boutiques.

yeah i was looking to find a boutique firm to work at this summer or even year round. anyone knwo where i can find a job for that? what are some good jobs for unexperienced students to find to build a resume?? thanks!!
