Hello, I have recently been accepted to Holderness, St. George's and St. Mark's school for next year. I would have to repeat freshman year at St. Marks. I was wondering if anybody had any insight to these schools. I do not know what I'm going to do. help!

I can’t give any advice without knowing more about you - could you perhaps provide some information regarding your specific academic interests, which sports you play, and whether you’re involved in the arts? I also don’t understand the need to repeat freshman year at St. Mark’s - is this something you volunteered to do?

I’m currently a 4th former (sophomore) at St. Mark’s. If you have any questions about the school, just PM me! I’d be glad to help!

Wander,

You might consider talking to the admissions counselors at both schools and also the student recruitment offices (or the equivalent of). Both offices will be able to give you good insight and information about your current situation and how it relates to each school.

My daughter is a very happy St. Mark’s student. You may PM me if you have any questions.

I recommend you revisit all three schools, if you don’t have a clear favorite at this point. Every student body has its own spirit. At revisits, you can shadow existing students, and meet those students the AOs have deemed good fits for their schools.

I play soccer, ski race, play lacrosse, and sail competitively. Of course, no schools have both skiing and sailing. It is my goal to sail in college, but I could still be able to sail in the summers if I did not attend boarding school with sailing. My favorite academic subject is Math, but English is not far from it. I want to be somewhere with a very supportive, close-knit and diverse community.
