What To Expect When You Get To UCLA (Transfer Edition)

Hahah fake eggs, my favorite.

I think I’ll also be taking a mini-fridge and a portable stove. @rhee - I’m taking my rice cooker too ahah. I’ll need my homemade food every once in a while.

I have emailed the Housing staff like no other to get my friend to be my roomate. She’s Korean and as much as I don’t want to admit it, I would feel so much more comfortable not having to explain why I eat some of the things we eat, lol. I’m excited!

@RheeL3

Mmmm I have a rice cooker here at home, it’s great. If you’re careful, add a little cooking oil in the bottom and it’ll cook/crispy up the bottom bit really nice. Add a bit of salt and it’s to die for.

Also for pasta, remember to brown your butter, it’s better that way

Oh my gosh, right? I should think twice before considering taking chung gook jang. Hahahaha

@edelynly HAHA! Yeah definitely not…

LOOOLLLL. Cooking tips ftw!

I’m happy we’re heading to Japan, because they have the best quality rice cookers (energy efficient too)! I’ll be getting mine over there. I’ll make cakes in it too, ha-ha.

Not just any cooking tips, cooking tips from someone with bad food aversion (to healthy foods XD, work in progress). Pretty much all I eat is crap, but I know how to make it taste goooooooooood. Pretty much stuff with pasta, crackers, won tons and rice and some pepperonni, I know how to do bizzare stuff to it that makes it taste delicious.

And Japan? Are you visiting Akihabara? If you are, then I fanboy hate you, if you aren’t then I just plain hate you (not really XP)

O_O…

Do you mean 秋葉原電気街? In which case yes! O_O…well I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, it is very well known! My aunt and her family decided to move to Japan over three years ago and we have been visiting ever since! I love it! I will also be visiting nearby 芝公園!!! Sorry, I have this Korean keyboard, haha!

Anime district, but yes lol… I’m a complete Otaku (and lover of Boys Love manga ((Loveless ftw))) so I’d love it lol. That’s so cool though, it’s a beautiful country and I’d love to be able to go over there… but I speak less Japanese than I do Spanish and I don’t think I can order a meal in Spanish lmao!

ROFL! Otakuuuuuuuuu. My guy cousins in Japan are too. They’re freaks. They rather buy manga than food. My parents made my sister and I take Japanese classes during high school at our nearby CC after school and it was cool. I’m pretty fluent, my parents try and speak it whenever they can too.

ps-Loveless freaked me out. None of that. Nor Yuri. ): funny how a bunch of my Chinese friends love that stuff…

Lol, I just like cute things so I got drawn to the Cat Ears aspect (I seem to be getting into more animes/manga that way… I entirely blame Gravitation and Shuichi Shindou for my love of strawberry pocky), and I have way way too much J-Pop in my collection… (or maybe I need more…) Mostly FLOW and 3 of the songs from Soul Eater (because crazy OCPD child-shinigami’s are a terrible thing to waste). But yeah lol.

LOL! I watched the first episode of Loveless, how they figured out how the tail falls…HAHAHA! Gravitation was pretty epic, I won’t argue there!!! Yum…pocky…I want some…I’ll stock up when we head on over!!! Yeah my friends say they love that because it’s cute…I don’t think so…lol…

Pocky and 5 hr energy, the breakfast (erm… study aid) of champions for a college student

Yeah I just realized how we totally hijacked this thread! Sorry!

Back on topic!

5 hour energy drinks?! No thanks. Crash later sucks.

^ Nothing compared to an addy crash.

It’s like Zombieland.

Yeah I was gonna say we’d probably better get back on topic soon XD lest we get killed. You get a crash with them? I do…sometimes I guess but it’s a gradual decline most of the time. I always reccommend them especially now since I heard some very uncouth things about Rockstar and LGBT causes… They mighta fixed it but, maybe, I dunno.

I only tried that energy drink once, and never again. I can easily stay up for a day or two without any assistance but I was nagged to try it, big mistake. I started getting sleepy…it was horrible! I’ve probably never slept more in my life (the night after I took it)!

I have concluded that those things aren’t for me! I can’t understand how people drink those Monster/Rockstar drinks in the early morning! @.@

Time for music shows! Ja!

Oh don’t get me started on caffeine, lol. I hateeeee that more possibly.

Ahh, reverse effect for you, sometimes caffine does that for me, it used to do it more than it does now. Yeah, it’s getting late (har har), I should probably head off to bed soon. Ja!

hahah oh wow now i feel dumb. up until now, i though rhee was one of those korean gangstas who act hard… haha my bad rhee.

I’m not sure which to find creeper…The fact that I’ve never talked to you or that you’re on this particular thread…

Yeah…I’ll be going to sleep now…I’m a little bummed as are the rest of the people around me (obvious reasons).

Still boo caffeine! My parents stayed up with it. =/

yeah because its so creepy read a thread that is available to everyone right? smh
