I was recently accepted into UCLA and I am so excited! However, UCLA does not have a business school or even an undergraduate business major. They have a Business-Economics Degree (which is what I’ve been accepted too), but that is more of an economics degree with some accounting. I’m hoping to pursue a degree in marketing post-graduation and I was wondering: what should I major in at UCLA to best prepare me for jobs in marketing post-graduation? I was thinking of majoring in business-economics and maybe minoring in psychology, but I am unsure what to do. They also have majors in communications and sociology. Would it be in my best interest to transfer into one of those?
Just make sure you major in something where you take a good amount of math (any of the econ majors would be fine). What will really get you a job in marketing would be to get good internships during the summer.
