I really want an 800 in sat reading. Wright now my sat reading score is a 470. I have no idea what to read. any suggestion of what to read to get a perfect reading score. I also want to become a medical doctor. i am considering this history reading list:

Read what you enjoy, You will read more if you are enjoying it and it is not a chore. Raising your CR from a 470 to 800 will take more than just reading, Have you done any test prep to help you with strategies on how to approach the questions? Take lots of practice exams and go over the answers.
I plan on reading first I have barely read anything and I am past high school
i am interested in sci fi. I heard a lot about people reading sci fi and getting perfect score in reading.
Sci Fi is good. It should capture your interest and make you want to keep reading. You might want to consider some of these titles: Ready Player One, Divergent, The Ender’s Game, House of the Scorpion. Summer is a great time to get lost in books.
Part of taking the SAT is being familiar with the strategy of taking the test.
This article is well written and goes over the test in detail: http://blog.prepscholar.com/how-to-improve-your-low-sat-reading-score-6-strategies
Best of luck, and have fun! Reading is one of life’s great escapes.
Reading’s pretty important, it’s mainly to help you build vocabulary and sentence structure in my opinion (reading helps you become a better writer). Most of the history books in the Good Reads list you gave are pretty high level (and some of them won’t really be helpful books in terms of the SAT, for that matter). If you haven’t read that much and you’re interested in sci-fi, just stick to the fun ones, like @123Mom456 said.
Here are some recommendations if you’re into dystopian sci-fi: Hunger Games series (kids are pitted together and they fight to the death), Maze Runner series (kids are put into a experiment where they fight to the death to escape), or Divergent (recommended above by 123Mom456, where kids die as they find secrets about their corrupt, utopian society).
Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury provide interesting pieces of sci-fi but those require some analysis and thinking, but I’m sure you can handle it (also Asimov and Bradbury’s pieces would be the type found in the actual SAT).
If you want to bring a 470 up to an 800, like others have suggested it might be a good idea to go over some review books and figure out the pattern of the questions. It’s going to be kind of hard to catch up on all that reading during the few years of high school.
Good luck! Also, if you can get the test score up to a decently high score (doesn’t have to be 800), most colleges will accept it.
If you are already a HS graduate…and age 20…really…retaking the SAT is not going to help you…at all. It is a test designed for HS students…not 20 year olds who have attended college already.
Why do you care about your SAT CR score at this point in time?
Increasing from 470 to 800 is unlikely anyway. But really…why is this important to you as a twenty year old?
Don’t waste your time with the SAT at this age. Start at a CC or state school that will accept you as is.
How many classes have you taken so far? How many credits have you earned? What is your GPA?
As for reading suggestions: Read some non-fiction for information and read some books just for entertainment value
Did you end up attending URI? If not, where have you been going to college?
I thought he was attending Rhode Island College.
