what to wear at UCF?

I am starting my freshman year next week and I am wondering what most guys wear on an everyday basis. I am from Long Island, New York and I mostly wear Vineyard Vines, Lacoste, and Ralph Lauren polo's with bermuda shorts and boat shoes. I am just trying to get a sense of whether my style will fit in. If not please leave me some suggestions. ~ Thanks.

With 50,000+ students from all over the world, I’ve seen it all! Just be you for best results :-)

The stuff you listed is by no means out of the ordinary. Just be prepared for HEAT and RAIN – 2011 has been one of the hottest & wettest Florida summers in quite a while.

Pretty much anything goes at UCF. There’s just too many students from diverse backgrounds for there to be one acceptable style. Like Ericiidx said, be prepared for heat and rain. Summers are crazy here. It can be hot one moment and thundering the next, then after like five minutes of rain it’s hot and sunny again.

Have a hoodie/jacket for the buildings because they are cold, and comfortable walking shoes because you will be walking a lot. For the cooler months, your NY gear will come in handy …so don’t just bring summer clothes.

Thanks for the tips. I’m glad I don’t have to run out and buy a whole new wardrobe.

Maybe I can help you out although you should take this with a grain of salt. I go to school in South Florida, and the college that most of my school goes to is UCF. What’s common to wear at my school are cargo shorts with a hollister type shirt.
I’m guessing it’s somewhat similar at UCF

I’d agree with what others have said, down here in Florida shorts and a t-shirt works fine pretty much anywhere. Boat shoes are very popular at the moment, but be sure to have a pair you are used to walking in!

Lmao, wear anything that’s comfortable! One thing that disgusts me are people that walks barefoot. I don’t understand the concept at all and I’ve seen so many people done it at UCF. I’m lazy as heck so I just throw on anything and go to class. This isn’t high school. You don’t really have to ‘fit in’ you just have to find the right group of people that you are comfortable around.
