I've been looking at several threads regarding what to wear for an interview, but I'm going to the Top Ten Schools Information Center in a couple of weeks. Considering the fact that the dress code differs between each school, should I dress casually or formally? I'm a girl and I know there will be others there, but I still want to look presentable. What should I wear?

Do you mean a TSAO event? We went to one of those last year. DD wore some black pants, a sweater, and flats - dressier than normal but not interview clothing. There was a big range of clothes and what DD wore was in the middle. TSAO is an event that is for you, not for the schools - the AOs are there to give you information and sell their school, not evaluate you.

I think anytime you are in front of admissions you should look how you want to present yourself. Wear a skirt (at least fingertip length), collared shirt and either a cardigan or a quarter zip or something like that over it. Don’t wear sneakers, wear flats. And don’t wear obvious makeup, obvious jewelry or strong perfume. If you get a plain manicure your hands will look nice too. You will probably have to fill out cards and nametags so bright blue or chipped polish isn’t a good idea. Go clear or a light pink.
