What UCs can I get into with these stats?

I lived in California until after my freshman year, when we moved. I have yet to finish my senior year, but my cumulative gpa is 3.58. I scored a 24 composite on my ACT and a 1670 on my SAT. I have been involved in dance for two years and I am in a club this year. I have been active in my church for my entire high school life. How likely am I to get in?

I have taken mostly all honors and AP courses. Last year I took AP Language and Composition and AP US History. This year I am taking AP Literature and Composition and AP Government.

Senior year doesnt count for the UC GPA although I wish it did.

What is your UC GPA? Those tests are scores are pretty low and the ECs don't seem substantial enough to bolster your GPA or scores.

UC Riverside for sure. maybe UC Davis, Irvine, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara.

How is the best way to calculate my UC gpa?

You really think UCSB?

You need to configure your UC GPA, look it up, it's really easy. And, as it stands, a 1670 is pretty low, so you should try and bump that up.

I've tried looking it up, but it's hard for me to figure it out. I'll try again.

My UC GPA seems to be 3.4 if I did this right.

I think you can get into riverside, merced and santa cruz.

Awesome, thank you. No UCSB, though?

Based on your UC GPA + SAT score, UCSB is a reach.

You seem like you could write some pretty good essays, so focus on those. And retake the SAT if you can. Also, what are your SAT II scores?

Agh, haha. I really would love to get into UCSB. It's my dream school as of now.

I am taking my SAT II's this Saturday.

You'll probably make it to UCSC, UCR and UCM. The rest are reaches.

Crap. Haha.

Anyone know if UCSC is a nice campus?

Dunno, I'm sure it's not bad. Why the love for UCSB?
Unfortunately due to your grades all of the UCs except for UCSC, UCR and UCM are reaches. Though, still try to apply to UCSB and bump up your SAT if you really want to try for it.

My brother graduated from there. He's my half-brother and lived with his mother, so he never was a nonresident. I moved with our dad and my mom to AZ, and now I am not a resident although I lived in California for freaking fifteen years. It's really irritating. My brother's at Columbia University now for grad school.

Also, the campus is gorgeous. I toured it and fell in love with it. I felt like that was the perfect fit for me.

bring up my post, please!

^ Have you any thought on writing your app essay? That could help too.

Yes, I have. I've already written it and it is being reviewed at the moment. I'm hoping it will turn out well enough.
