You need to calculate your CSU/UC GPA see link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

You can use the College Supermatch on this website and input your Unweighted GPA, SAT scores etc… to give you an idea of possible college matches.

Based on what you posted, your UC W GPA is around 3.19. What is the
explanation for the bad grades Sophomore year?? If you have a reasonable explanation and you include it for the UC essays, you may have a chance at UC Merced or Riverside. Also, do you plan to retake the D’s??? If not, you can forget the UC’s and several of the Cal States. You also need to post SAT/ACT and EC’s to give posters a better idea of your chances at any colleges other than a CC.

My UC average GPA is a 3.5
My sat is 2100

I had a close family member death. I do plan on retaking the D’s also

What is your intended major?? Are you sure your UC GPA is correct? and you checked http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/ that your Honors classes are recognized by the UC’s?? Regardless, Your GPA is still low for most UC’s and they also look at your unweighted. If you can explain your drop in grades due to the family death, you might have a chance at UCSC also. You are obviously a good academic student based on your SAT but those D’s on your record are a problem. The rest of the UC’s had an average GPA of 4.0+ and like I stated above, they are very focused on the GPA. I wish you Good Luck and if you can afford the application fees, go ahead and apply but have several other schools as backup.
