What UC's Can I Get Into?

I have a weighted UC GPA of 4.02 and an unweighted of 3.78. I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet and I don’t know if I am going to. For extracurriculars, I am in my school’s STEAM/STEM program for computer science, I am apart of Link Crew (a leadership organization that helps freshmen in my school and just helps around campus), I am involved in my school’s key club, I am in my school’s dance team, I tutor kids (k-12), and I’m in NHS. I don’t know what I want to major in, I am leaning toward computer science or english and for financial aid, I need some I was raised by a single mother. I just want advice and insight into what colleges I could get into, preferably a UC.

Below are 2019 admit rates based on capped weighted UC GPA. Intended major will have an impact on your chances so CS admit rates will be lower and expected stats will be higher. Definitely take the SAT or ACT since you may change your mind on the schools you plan to apply. A good score can only help your chances for the UC’s.

If you are a CA resident then consider adding some Cal states to your list. Sonoma state as a Safety with a very good English program along with Cal Poly SLO as a Match school for English and Reach for CS. Also CSU Long Beach, Cal Poly Pomona and SDSU for CS as possible Match schools.

If you are not a CA resident, then none of these school offer financial aid to make them affordable.

Your UC target schools would be UC Merced, Riverside and Santa Cruz. For English, UCD, UCI and UCSB are also possible.

UCR, UCM and probably UCSC are likely to accept you. The others will be a stretch - but it could happen.
I’d also apply to SDSU, and CSULB as alternates.
