What was your writing score?

I'm focusing tomorrow mainly on the writing section.

I am curious as to what people received on the essay and writing multiple choice sections. I guess I just want to see the possible combinations of scores on the two components and their final result.

I am aiming to get higher than 630. Last time I took it I got a 10 on the essay a 59 on the multiple choice. =/

Did anyone ever receive an essay score of 10 or lower and still get higher than a 630 on the writing sections?

80 MC, 10 essay = 800

66 MC, 8 essay = 650

why focus on writing when no one ever looks at it- plus writing is the easiest section- just know the like 10 grammar rules and its a pretty easy 700+

WOW. New York - an 80 is a perfect score, right? So did you miss any at all or omit any?

Ninny - So like a 66 - does that mean you roughly missed about 5..? or less?

Hah, sorry if I'm asking so many questions. I'm just really curious...

Well..this may be a bit stupid. But I am a graduating senior - I already got into college (UNC Chapel Hill) but I could get out of two potential english classes for next year if I get higher than a 690. and one if I get higher than a 630 (I was right on the border).

I never really took the SAT seriously enough or ever really studied for it so now I'm paying for it I suppose. I mean I don't have to take the SAT again but being the stubborn person that I am, I really wanted to take it again...and potentially get out of two freshmen english classes. (or even one).

80 MC 10 essay = 800
just like newyork apparently lol

if it helps my friend got a
80 MC 9 essay = 780 i think

Wow, an 80 DOES mean a perfect score though, right? I can't imagine not missing ANY writing mc. Did you at least omit any?

An 80 most probably is perfect and 100% correct. I missed 2/omitted 0 and got a 75 MC.

And 75 MC + 11 Essay = 780 on May SAT.

I missed 6 and didn't omit any.

75 MC + 9 essay = 740
-2 on MC

78MC/12 E -> 800W

I missed one question on the writing in December for my 78MC.

But my first time I had a 10E and 62MC for a 650...

75 MC + 12 Essay = 790

75 mc + 10 essay =760

80 MC (one wrong) & 9 essay = 790 my month (Nov. 2007) -- but my friend took it a different month (Jan. 2008) and got 80 & 9 = 800! Grrr.

Also, 77 (two wrong) & 11 = 800 in Jan. 2008, based on some friends.

79 MC 8 essay=760 (in march) :(
