What will colleges say about my language Credits?

<p>Im in my Sr. year and I haven't finished my 2yrs. of language for UC. i took my 2nd year of Spanish last year but I got a D+ 2nd Sm. I'm going to retake it but will it effect me?</p>

<p>1) UC’s recommend 3 years of a language, so taking only two years will make you less competitive.
2) Since you have no grade to replace the D when you submit you application in November, you have put yourself in a bad position. You will have to report the repeat class as planned on the application: not completed with an acceptable grade or in-progress.</p>

<p>I would check with your Guidance Counselor on how much this will affect your UC chances. The D will definitely have a negative impact. You need to make sure you have some backup schools just in case.</p>
