<p>Early Decision. With that said, be sure that you can financially afford UM.
I did Early Action because I needed to make sure that they gave me a decent scholarship. If I were you I’d do early action. If you do early decision and you get accepted you are legally obligated to go to UM</p>

<p>ditto, Early Action insures that you are in and you decide if the finances work. Early Decision basically locks you in with whatever package financially that they give you.
Even though Miami is the only school my DD wants, she will do Early Action because she can’t go without a sizeable scholarship. Breaking a contract ED would have you sign is not a good idea and can damage your high school’s reputation and future applicants from your high school. Never a good idea to go ED unless money is not an issue.</p>
