What will this look like on a college app.?

So my freshman year of highschool started off rather roughly, my gpa was 3.15, this was just so bad I think It will preclude me from any good colleges. My sophomore year, I got my act together, I had a 3.87 uw with one honors and an AP, (underclass men dont get weighted gpa). SO as you can see, my freshman year was far lower than my sophomore, this year, my first report card is as follows:
AP Calc AB- 95%
College prep English 11- 94%
College Anatomy and Physiology-96%
Apush-88%
Spanish 3-94%
Ap chem-100%
Honors physics-98%. (We have no ap physics 1)

My first quarter gpa for my junior year is 4.54, now my question is will this upward trend make schools like CMU or Cornell any possibility? What does an Adcom think when they look at me? I think my SAT should exceed a 2000, but my freshman gpa isn't good, but Soph, junior, and senior, I'll surely have above a 4

Mellon does not look at freshmen year grades and many colleges have freshmen forgiveness, so I wouldn’t harp on it too much nor try to make excuses for it unless there was some medical/family issue that was involved.

Thank you for that, I feel a little less bad about it now.
