I am currently a second semester freshmen and I completed all of my GE Requirements. So far I know I want to double major in Theater and a Humanities Major. However, I am torn between choosing English or Comparative Literature. I am so passionate about the two so I decided to create my own major where I combine English and Comparative Literature majors together. My school says I need to fill in an application where I decided which disciplines I will combine and the courses to choose. I have a broad idea of which courses to include but I don't know what the title should be. Any recommendations accepted?

Without knowing the courses, it is difficult to come up with a theme.

geo1113, I am including Intro to Theater 101, and all of the acting courses. For English, I am including Intro to English Lang. and Lit., Shakespeare, American Literature, Creative Writing: Fiction, and British American Literature 18th-20th century courses. As for Comp. Lit, I am including Intro to Comp. Lit, Semiotics, Theory, and Spanish Lit. courses.

Tough one. I see theatre/drama, culture and signs. Just throwing out something to start the thought process.

Comparative Cultural Signs in Drama and Literature

That’s a good one. Thanks.

You’re welcome.
