what would i have to do to transfer?

Just curious to if I even have a chance in the future of getting in...

I didn't take high school serious at all and graduated with a 2.1 GPA/18 act. (I guessed on a lot of my ACT because I didn't care about it.) I was a part of FBLA though (Future Business Leaders of America)

I went to a community college for 2 years and got a 3.56 GPA...joined PTK (Honors Society) and PSI Beta (Honor Society for Psychology) I feel like I could have done better if I wasn't working full time both years and slacking my first semester. (High School habits)

I just transferred to Indiana University- Bloomington and this is my first semester here. I'm only taking 13.5 credits right now so I can get used to living alone. I plan on joining the student foundation and the judicial board though for some extracurricular activities and trying my absolute hardest academically.

I just did a full time, paid accounting internship this summer too.

Anyways, do you guys think...if I did really good this semester and got involved, I would have a decent shot? I'm a first generation Hispanic and both of my parents only have high school degrees.

Also, do I need to retake my ACT? I'm not sure if ND requires it for transfers, most universities don't care for it after you've completed 26 credit hours somewhere. If I had to retake it, I know for a fact I could score well above an 18.

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

I want to major in Finance with a minor in accounting by the way.

Congratulations on the success you have earned at CC as well as your admission to IU.

My advice would be to focus on your classwork and enjoy where you are. IU is a good school with some excellent programs, including business. Don’t worry about transferring when you have only be on campus for a couple weeks.

Thank you, rmldad.

I am perfectly content staying here at Indiana University, but if there was an opportunity to go to Notre Dame…I think I would take it. Their academics, reputation, and net working is some of the best in the country. I’m just trying to get the most out of undergraduate you know?

Any others have any input?

Notre Dame does not accept transfers into the business school.
