What would my being a camp counselor tell the admissions offices?

I understand that every college is different, but generally, how would being a camp counselor during the summer look on an application?

I’m not an admissions officer, and every admissions officer sees things differently, but IMO it would show leadership, dedication (if you’ve been doing it for a number of years), and an ability to work well with others. All good things.

It would tell them you found a summer job and perhaps had opportunities for leadership and responsibility.

it would suggest that you can prioritize and multi-task, especially when the health and welfare of others are your responsibility. It might also show you are responsible, a decision-maker, peacekeeper and listener. Dependent upon the camp- a mentor, coach, supervisor and can delegate.

I read that one of the most loathed essay topics for admissions counselors is the camp counselor essay. Be careful.
