What Would You Retake?

I got:

740 Chem
730 Math II
640 Latin

I'm definitely retaking Latin -- but what would you do for Chem and MathII?

Thanks for your help!

If I had those scores for Chem and Math II, I would be happy.
For me, I have no hope in doing better in the Chem, I havent taken it in 2 years.
The Math II I am definitely retaking.

it really depends on which schools you are applying to and how strong is the rest of your application.
but i would say that for top notch schools, anything below 750 will hurt u

Hmm… I guess now the question is when I’m going to be retaking them. I mean, I’d love to apply to HYPSM but…

I think you would be fine, as long as its 700+. Remember there is a whole other side to an application other than SAT scores.

Why would you retake them? Those are GREAT scores! God, some people on here are insane

730 on a test where most people score 750+ may not demolish your chances at a very selective school, but that grade won’t help you. If you’re applying to very selective schools I’d suggest retaking Math II or studying for another subject test.

You have decent scores. Your Math II can be improved if you don’t feel completely satisfied by practicing more. Note, that anything above a 710+ on the Math II is good.

I think that you are fine with Chemistry and Math II, although I might consider retaking those if you are applying to schools like MIT and Caltech.

Leave chem be, retake math.
