<p>I have seen the threads about people asking if they can still get in or keep their admittance status if they fail or get low grades, etc. I just wanted to set it straight. The following applies for all the UCs even though its from UCI. My counselors and teachers have said people don't get rejected once accepted unless they go below these standards. Even then, if its not THAT below, you should be fine.</p>
<p>Provisions for Admission</p>
<pre><code>* Receive a high school diploma or equivalency.
Complete all senior-year courses as listed on your application.
Your senior-year GPA in UC-approved courses must be at least a weighted 3.0.
If you receive a D or F grade in any A-G or college course in your senior year, notify the Admissions Office immediately via the UC Irvine Message Center on MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI (UC Irvine - Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools) and provide your grade report there and submit all high school official transcripts. Consult with your admissions counselor after you submit the information and be advised that your admission will be subject to cancellation if your official transcript includes D or F grades in senior year or D or F grades in other semesters that were unreported on the UC application you submitted.
Notify the Admissions Office immediately via the UC Irvine Message Center on MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI (UC Irvine - Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools) of any changes to your A-G courses reported on your UC Application for your senior year. Your admission will be subject to cancellation if you fail to maintain the academic rigor in course work presented at the time you were offered admission (e.g., no longer UC-eligible given senior year grades, course schedule changes or other factors).
By July 15, 2008, the UCI Office of Admissions must receive an official final high school transcript that confirms the exact date you graduated (month, day, and year) and verifies your self-reported academic record. Request this transcript well before the end of your senior year.
By July 15, 2008, submit official test scores for the correct required standardized tests, if you have not already done so. Official standardized tests required by the University include: (1) the ACT Assessment plus Writing or the SAT Reasoning Test and (2) two required SAT Subject Tests from two subject different areas (English, history and social studies, mathematics - Level 2 only, science or language other than English). To have scores sent to UC Irvine, contact the Educational Testing Service (ETS) at (609) 771-7300 for specific information. Our ETS code is 004859.
By July 15, 2008, submit an official report for all of your Advanced Placement (AP) examination scores (3 or above) and/or International Baccalaureate Higher Level (IB) (5 or above) examination results. To have AP scores sent to us, call the Educational Testing Service at (609) 771-7300 or (888) 225-5427; use UCI's ETS code (004859). Contact the International Baccalaureate Office at (212) 696-4464.
By July 15, 2008, submit an official transcript of all college/university work you have completed.
</code></pre>
<p>If the UCI Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools does not receive the above required information by July 15, a "hold" may be placed on your records, which left unresolved, will lead to enrollment cancellations from any courses for which you registered during open enrollment. If you submit official transcripts, test scores or other information after the July 15 deadline, our office is not responsible for processing schedules that may result in either your enrollment cancellations from registered courses or from admissions withdrawal after the start of the fall 2008 quarter.</p>
<p>Your Admission to UC Irvine will be Cancelled IF::</p>
<pre><code>* You do not satisfy all of the above conditions; or
- Any information you submitted does not agree with official documentation, including failing to report all schools attended, or all A-G courses completed (original failing grades and grades for courses repeated). You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information reported as detailed in Section VII and Section XIII, item 137, of the University of California undergraduate application for admission and scholarships. </code></pre>
