What's All this Stuff about Bob Jones University?

<p>Inform me please, is it as bad as people tell me? I've haven't heard much positive about the school, so are all the negatives true like these rules:</p>

<p>*Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating or visit movie theaters</p>

<p>*Rock, country, R&B, new-age, and jazz are not allowed to be played</p>

<p>*On campus curfew of 11:00 pm!!!</p>

<p>*Abercrombie & Fitch and Calvin Klein have been banned because they show "an unusual degree of antagonism to the name of Christ"</p>

<p>*Lights out at midnight!!! Aside from military affiliated schools, what kind of college has lights out??? Do you tell professor I couldn't finish my thesis on account of lights out?</p>

<p>A couple years back they also had a mandatory wake-up hour. Within the past year they JUST lifted the ban on interracial dating. The catch? A parental note is still required.</p>

<p>There is/was a rule on interracial dating? Weren't Mary and Joseph interracial? Didn't God lead Ruth to marry Boaz? I'm confused of where a rule on interracial dating plays into Christian Values?!!</p>

<p>Bob Jones is obviously not for everyone. But they do seem to attract enough students to keep in operation.</p>

<p>Obviously it's not "as bad" to all people if it continues to receive enrollment. Never really got why the rules bother people so much.</p>

Wrong, I moved and FYI, I barely know nor would I like to stay in Boston, most of my family is in the south or the islands.</p>

<p>Besides, can't a man be interested?</p>

<p>To answer a question above, it's Christian non-denominational but found by an Evangelist.</p>
