I currently am a transfer student (potentially) attending Chapman next year. I currently live in a college town, the downtown scene in San Luis Obispo is exactly what you would expect and not too exciting in terms of what the bar scene is in real cities.
What’s the night life/bar scene like for Chapman students? Is it usually the same people, what are the bars like?
Thanks!
it’s in a sleepy community where old and religious people mostly reside. I also know Chapman is a dry campus and so getting caught with alcohol on campus will have consequnces. If you are looking for a wild social scene or anything like that, then yeah Chapman isnt for you
I mean I’m 21 so I can drink I don’t really care about house parties… What are the bars like…?
Oh sorry about that. So they have two bars in the near area that are on the same block. It’s all really homey and community oriented in that you’ll see the same people in these same bars every week. It never gets crazy or anything as you can imagine.
Hmmm good to know, thanks!
Also I’d love to hear more input if anyone else reads this thread haha
From what I recall there’s plaza square park near Chapman University with all kinds of restaurants and small shops, and if I remember they hold some kind of international food festival every fall.
Are you bringing a car? Orange is 30 min to the beach, an hour to the mountains, an hour to los angeles, 20 minutes to Disneyland…there is plenty to do in the OC,and even more in LA. The train stops essentially at Chapman’s door, and goes to LA.
