What's the most important thing upon applying to a school like Emerson?

Hi all-

I'm a junior getting ready to take my SAT's and I've been SO worried lately that I'm not going to get into college. My standardized test scores do not reflect me as a student or a worker. I also feel like I haven't done as well this year schoolwise, due to teachers(not trying to point the finger at them). So I want to know what is the most IMPORTANT thing a school like Emerson will look at. Is it hard to get into?

My GPA= 3.7
PSAT= 1250 composite (I know, embarrassing!)
I write a TON - I entered a script frenzy contest, written a few pilots, my play I wrote is getting a public reading at school, I've been in 2 plays, I take private acting lessons, have taken intensive acting classes, and have worked as a camp counselor for two summers. I'm also on speech team at school, and this summer I'm doing college classes related to film.

I'm just worried that I'm not different and they're not going to want me because I'm the same and my test scores aren't good. Could anyone give me any info about what they really look for?

Thank you so much!!!

1250/1600 is not bad at all. 625/625 is well above average (although not for these boards). 1250/2400 is something you should seriously, seriously consider studying for in order to improve… dramatically.
