I wonder what everyone else loves about AP? Which classes?
ap world his is my 1st class. Its ok i gues…
AP World History is my favorite class, mainly since it’s the only one I’ve ever taken, but I’m pretty sure AP US History will take that place next year.
Ap Calc AB because it’s straightforward and AP Lang because it’s lit.
AP U.S. History. Never have I been more interested in history in my life. The material is interesting, especially in periods of economic growth and the world wars. My second favorite would probably be AP Physics 1. Math kind of takes over in that class and I love it.
AP US History, I learned that every president sucks and nobody can be trusted.
AP Human Geography is the first one I’m taking (freshie), so technically it’s my favorite lol. But it’s pretty easy as long as you study for 3-4 hours for each test total (but there’s only a test every about 2 weeks, and you don’t really need to study all in one day). The material of the class is very relevant and interesting because it really gives a lot of insight into current events in the world. I haven’t taken the AP test yet, but the class in general is pretty good
I think Psych is the most interesting (out of NSL, APUSH, Micro, Macro, Lang, World, Psych, and Calculus, and I guess a month of Physics 1 before I dropped that haha).
You learn things that you kind of knew happened, but didn’t really put together (adolescent egocentrism) and just new cool stuff.
I liked AP Lang for how much I learned, and AP Lit for the things we got to read.
I like AP Gov because it’s actually super interesting. Plus, we goof around in that class, so it’s the best place for my case of senioritis to develop.
I’ve only taken one AP class (AP Euro), and that’s right now. It’s really fun, but there’s so much busy work. My teacher’s amazing though; he gives us a three-day grace period for late assignments and he makes lectures really funny.
We also do really creative projects in his class. One time he had us do a puppet show on a European country (my study group chose Russia), and we made it a musical for extra credit.
I had so much fun writing parodies, such as “We are the Russians, my friends…”(We Are the Champions by Queen) and this chorus from “We are Young” by Fun:
Tonight
We are free
So let’s go praise Alexander
He just gave serfs
Liberty…
I’m really enjoying Physics C! The year started out pretty rough (I was a bit of an odd one out, as the only sophomore in a predominantly senior class), but once I got situated, I started falling in love. The concepts are interesting and the teacher teaches well. It’s a tiny class – only ten or so kids-- which helps as well.
AP physics 1 is pretty interesting, even though it’s online for me and it’s tough teaching yourself I still like learning about the various physical phenomena that occurs in our everyday lives.
I love AP Statistics because I love math in general. Also, even though it’s not my type of math, I have an amazing teacher who does everything in his power to help me understand. Teachers make or break the class.
AP Art History because carrying around a nine-pound textbook everywhere you go gives you a greater appreciation for the lighter classes.
Seriously, though. Eye-opening class, great teacher, fun exam.
