Wheel of Time

Wow. That's all I have to say about this series. I'm reading the first one, Eye of the World, and though the beginning was pretty damn slow, it really kicks it up after about a hundred pages. Anyone else read this series? If not, you should :)

Who’s it by and is it fantasy?

Robert Jordan. It’s not your typical fantasy with elves and dwarfs and whatnot, but it’s still fantasy. At times, it can be a bit corny, but you get used to it. Very interesting. Kind of has a Taoism thing going on. And each book is really long. Around 800 pages

^^Fantasy, by Robert Jordan, who died before it was complete. Now being written by Brandon Sanderson.

I love it, one of my favorite Fantasy books. It slows down in the middle, but last two books have been very gook

Long books?
Gook? Never heard of it…I’ll read it if I can find it though :)

^It give a whole new meaning to ‘long’ - 14 books with about 700-1000 pages.

Each ?

Yup. Each lol

YES!!! Now let me see if my school library has them…gaahh…I bet they don’t.

Lol, when you find it, you have to be really patient reading it. I almost gave up within the first 60 pages or something because it starts off kind of slow. But I swear, after page 100, you just can’t put it down.

Oh and make sure you don’t get any of the abridged versions that are geared more for kids. They have a shortened version that isn’t as good. It’s called ‘From the Two Rivers’ The one you want is ‘The Eye of the World’ (first book)

I read about 7 of the books my freshman year. Never found the others. But they were pretty good.

What is it about?

These books are some of the most amazing books I’ve ever read. Jordan built possibly the richest, deepest, and most thoroughly complex world I’ve ever come across. 5/5 stars.

This thread almost makes me want to re-read the series from book 1. haha.
