Perhaps, but I think that they want us to appreciate our acceptance letters more, because two weeks from now, it won't matter if we got the answer via USPS or POP3. What we will appreciate more is the actual paper, and thirty years from now, Princeton will be hoping hoping that our nostalgia will have kicked in... especially for those of us who have become very wealthy....

yeah... being traditional is good for everything except sending decisions.

im not really sure...i dont think princeton is being idealistically traditional just so we "appreciate our decision more" when it comes in two weeks. that being said, it's just my opinion, and princeton never TOLD us the reason why they're not putting decisions online (remember the email?)...originally, princeton said that this is the first year where we'd be able to check decisions online. however, we soon received that email saying that decisions will NOT be posted online. this little debate has got me awfully curious now about why they actually changed their decision to post decisions online...

Def, i thought they were intending to put RD decisions online only, and not ED ones

My D is doing her senior year in Florida at a school for athletes, but we live in Masachusetts where all of our mail comes. She is frantic about whether to have me open them and call her, or send them rush delivery to her which means a delay of a few days...I bet she won't be able to stand the suspense and will have me read them to her over the phone.

i don't know if anyone said this or not, but my mother called and princeton is SENDING out the letters on the 15th

you must be joking! (thats all i can say write now!)

Now that's just POOPY.
That's the only word that can describe it.
Poopy.
Yeah, I said it.

i second that..... jus look for the more vulgar word for poopy and you would decipher my thoughts.... :'(

i still don't think they know when they are mailing them out exactly as when i called two days ago they didn't have any idea.. and i hope they don't end up on the 15th.

sarah89 i sincerely hope your mom is wrong

why are they telling different people confliciting information...???? <sigh></sigh>

I wish they would just put out an official announcement on their website a la other ivy's...

perhaps they decided between when you called Neb154 and when my mom called (today)...but yea this sucks

OMG!!!!

ok if they leave on the 15th, when do they arrive? do letters get mailed on weekends? do the post office ppl work on weekends?

I think that no one there really knows, or cares for that matter. They're probable tired of all the phone calls and emails that they just say the 15th.

pk...post office works sat and not sunday, which means we would have to wait till monday or even tuesday ***ffffff

dont be disturbed by when u wll get your decision...be alarmed by when I(INTERNATIONAL) would get mine!!! especially if it is a deferral/rejection...(sure dont pray for that)

if it's sent out on friday, how long do you think it'll take for mail to get from NJ to virginia?

Most likely monday.
