When are ED decisions sent out?

"LITANY AGAINST FEAR
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain. "

-Dune, Frank Herbert

Haha. YES!! I love Dune! (sorry for going off on a tangent)
P.S. If you haven't read "Hunters of Dune" yet... it's not that great. Like everyone says, the Brian Herbert / Kevin J. Anderson team is not on the same level as Frank Herbert was (not that they're bad writers and not that I wont read "Sandworms of Dune" when it comes out).

Do not be trapped by the need to achieve anything. This way, you achieve everything.

I just got my november 4th SAT scores today (due to some CB problems I guess), and they got faxed over to Princeton. I couldn't reach my Ad Com (only got his answering machine at work) because he was reading applications all day... I think this means that they are still deciding :p

after runman's anecdote, im starting to believe that maybe bad news do get sent out later

how did you get ur Ad com's number?

pk--if you look at last year's decision thread, that doesn't really seem to be the case.
probably it was just an isolated problem for runman's S.

so are decisions for US applicants sent through the post office or fedex?

Post office--USPS

Hey, guys, my friend who did ED at dartmouth just told me that she got an email saying decisions are mailed tomorrow and available online friday.

what about the internationals...i am literally at the other side of the globe...regular mail takes at least 2 weeks...won't they FedEx??

IIRC, they FedEx.

i'm thoroughly annoyed that all my friends get their decisions before i get mine...

ughh me too =/
Well look at it this way.
At least we'll have some way to entertain ourselves by reading their decisions before our own decisions come out.

so it sounds more like around December 15 now... (but good, according to my horoscope!)

Well I didn't have his #, I knew his name since he visited my school and then the general administrator who picks up the phone connected me.

The worst part is I leave Dec 16 on a cruise for a week. If I dont get them the 15th I am going to call the 16th, but they probably still wont give them to me. UGHHH Why cant they just do it online or give us a specific mailing date.

How about this for bad timing? I have performances the 15th, 16th, and 17th. So, assuming I get my letter on the 15th, Friday will either be the happiest day of my life or the worst.

not putting it online is really a hassle for all of us...im pretty sure all the ivies are putting decisions online except for princeton. i don't see why princeton has any reason not to put decisions online...they have the technology and it's quick and safe (don't have ot deal with 2275 letters getting lost), and saves a hell of a lot of paper and time...

Princeton is wonderful and flawless.

isnt p'ton more traditional in general?
