i live on the west coast so i can never call because im rushed in the morning and don't get home until 4PM (7 PM EST), so the office is always closed. i'd appreciate it if someone could call and find the exact date/time

bumpppppppppp

whoamg, did you ever call?????

No, sorry, I didn't really get the chance to. I live in CA, so I only have until ~2 PM to call, and I had my interview after school today.

They're not open during the weekends, no?

question: I've heard that princeton only sends actual letters in the mail... then i have also heard that you can call and inquire. Is that true? and if so how early?

Um, tell them that you're town is in the middle of a blizzard and that the mailman got frostbite, so you NEED them to tell you over the phone :P

lol frostbite hehe

haha... living in cali... that'll work out well..

so we're thinking dec. 15ish over here on the west then?

im sure u can call and ask. a friend last year was going on vacation, and actually called on the way to airport.

Now thinking about it, I'd actually rather wait for the letter if possible.
Anyone else feel the same way?

ya i do. i would feel like complete crap if i was told of a deferral/rejection over the phone. its just not right lol, and id prefer to read a solid letter right in front of me

maybe thats why P'ton still does it by traditional snailmail?

i would prefer e-mail... it would just be less stressful and more instant, and i would be able to dwell over the computer screen's rejection still. haha

i would hate to have to call and actually hear from them that i got deferred/rejected, but i might have to since Stanford's app is postmarked on the 15th

International students who want to get their decisions by email have to email/call the admissions office to request that. Last year, emails were sent out on the 14th.

are you serious? does one actually HAVE to request it bewfore they will do it!! come on i think they would take the initiatives to email since they know the mail wont come in 2-4 weeks

For internationals, if you are accepted, your package will arrive practically the next day by FedEx, even if you live on the other side of the planet. Maybe you don't have to request it this year, but last year we had to and I would advice you to just to be on the safe side.

All right, can someone call tomorrow? :D

i told my mom to call from work...ill update you tomorrow if she remembers

could someone else call too just in case?

If my dad isn't using the computer at 6:30 PST tomorrow morning I'll call.
