<p>Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the number of people who get likely letters who actually go to Duke every year? 100-ish?</p>

<p>mondo, thats a pretty low yield rate. maybe you're right, but i'd guess closer to 200. 100/350 is less than 33%...why would so many people turn down duke!</p>
<p>The people who get likely letters are the ones they are trying to recruit. I didn't go to Duke even though I got a likely letter (I went to Stanford).</p>

<p>A girl at my school found out she was getting in for sure, I don't think she received a likely letter yet, more of an off-the-record kind of thing.</p>

<p>cory123 and jaguars34- me too! i saw that last year they started coming on the 7th of feb... today's the 7th of feb... but from what I can see nobody's posted anything... ugh i want one so bad. </p>
<p>jenkster- from what i can tell, the people who get the likely letters are the ones who are considered for scholarships. so the likely letter comes along with the possiblity of scholarship-winning, i think.</p>
