When are Likely Letters sent out?

Does anyone know when (or even if) U Penn is sending out Likely Letters?

i have never heard of penn sending likely letters?

I think I remember a thread from a couple of years back, when a kid talked about getting a likely letter. I might be wrong though

Probably an athlete. I've never heard of Penn sending likely letters.

i certainly hope penn doesnt send out likely letters b/c i didnt get 1...& i'm a girl who applied to the school of engineering so hopefully that'll help my chances

I just got a likely letter a few days ago... I'm not an athlete, though, so I thought that was kind of odd. I'm not complaining, though! :)

I got a likely letter two days ago as well and i am not an athlete either

Could someone possibly transcribe the likely letter to this post? What does one consist of?

Here is how it started out

"I am pleased to inform you that the committee has designated you as a likely candidate for admission to Penn's class of 2012. In recent years, approximately 98% of applicants receiving a likely evaluation were ultimately admitted. We expect......that we will confirm this interim notification later this month."

My s is a sophmore at Penn -Engineering School. He did not get a likely letter, had to wait to log onto the website. Don't worry if you didn't get one. Penn was his 1st choice school, he had a 2110 SAT,
SAT II MATHII-800, SATII PHYSICS-800,
TOP 5% of his class,
white/male/catholic from NJ.

i got one a few days ago and im not an athlete (and cant think of a reason why id be getting one) so its pretty odd, but im deff not complaining either!!! does anyone know what getting a likely letter really means?? how many do they send out? the letter says 98% of those who get it are admitted, whats up with the other 2%??

This is my dream school. It is amazing, spectacular, and so much more. I really really want to go here.

Don't worry about it.
