When are we notified?

Assuming is usually a dangerous undertaking. Assume = take for granted. From what I have seen, there is little in life that can be taken for granted. Beyond that, as stated above - it is not a fair or appropriate question. Be yourself, enjoy the weekend and you will benefit in many ways. Whatever you do - don’t assume anything and keep your eyes, ears and mind open. Good luck and

argh. Anyone get calls for Rodriguez or Mylonas yet?

ST2-
Out of my fear of taking anything for granted as you said, do you happen to know whether all Danforth finalists being interviewed are offered half-tuition, with a select number clearly being offered full-tuition or if its just something else? It would be great to know to relieve my parents in this economic situation of paying up to $200K
Thank you.

Anyone hear back about Fitzgibbon?

Im waiting for that one too. I would expect that Fitzgibbon has the best probability to get if you are accepted because it gives out five $6K and one full-ride for a class of only 50 students per year

yeah, but that’s an important if, lol.

haha, this is true.

Congrats to all those who have received calls thus far! Has anyone heard about Compton/Pathfinder or the University Scholars Program yet? (From what I’ve read here, it seems as though notification has been already been given to finalists for Moog, Ervin, and Danforth – anyone else?)

I’ve been notified for the Compton Fellowship.

I wonder if calls are based on last names and/or geographic location because I sure hope every call wasn’t made yesterday…

I know me too, I applied for four scholarships and though my test scores aren’t amazing, I worked extremely hard on all my essays…

Also, this may be a silly question but does not being called for a scholarship affect our admissions decision at all?

good job guys!

same here, aem800, i’m praying that there are some calls needed to be made still lol

Answers to two questions above;

Not all of the calls have been made.
Not receiving a call only relates to the merit awards. Outside of that, it has no implication in regard to admissions decisions.

I hope they notify in ways other than calls,

I always have to put my mom’s cell phone down cause we don’t have a house phone &I don’t have a cell phone. And mother isn’t always too keen on answering for unknown numbers :[

Does anyone know if they send letters or update status online?

Yes, they’ll send letters to your house sometime this week with all the info. I got my call about Ervin Scholars yesterday and they said that they send a packet out. I also think they’ll update your status online, but this I’m not sure about.

Speaking of Ervin Scholars… Does anyone have any idea how many finalists were selected and how many of those get the full tuition scholarships?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to be a finalist for more than one scholarship? It wouldn’t make sense, since the weekends would conflict, but I felt my Rodriguez app was much stronger than my Ervin app, and getting finalist for both would up my chances.

I just got a call for the Annika Rodriguez. YAY :]

hey did you guys get calls on your home or cell phones?

oh and acolombianp28- do per chance have a name towards the beginning of the alphabet? just testing a theory.

I got a call on my home phone. My last name is Parra. If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask :]

For which scholarship?
