Annika Rodriguez

gah, now i get to wait in desperation for a call that probably won’t happen. and to add to the stress, my cell phone has been acting extremely wacky lately, and i have no home phone -_- uh vey…

my rodriguez application was by far my strongest, so i think that’s my best bet…i’m just gonna have to sit tight and hope for the best.

good luck!!

So, if my son applied for the Rodriguez, Moog, and USP…Rodriguez, as far as I’ve read, is finished. Moog’s still a toss-up, along with USP.

For the people who were called: did it update your information on the online application?

http://admissions.wustl.edu/appstatus/Pages/default.aspx

Thanks

So far, there’s been no changes in my application status.

^ I second that question. Does it say you’re a Danforth Scholar or anything now?

Do you know if they are calling everyone, (i.e. finalists and non-finalists) or just the finalists?

My son would just be devastated if he didn’t get a call for ONE of the three he applied for. BTW, any email notifications?

Come on Moog, that’s the one he really wants!

Why can’t they just bloody change the status online? Ah, this is so nerve-racking…!

I second post 110

No email notifications either. During the phone call, I was simply informed I was a finalist for Rodriguez and would attend finalist weekend, and that I would receive a letter confirming this promptly.

So, as far I can deduce:

Rodriguez is out.
Danforth is out.
Compton is out.
USP (some) are out.
Ervin is out.

Moog, still in?
Lien, still in? (the departmental ones)

yeah, no changes on my file either, as well as no emails.
On the Danforth notification phone call, they said to wait for the official letter in the mail with all of the specific info.

Wustlhopeful- i believe they only call the finalists… that would be a TON of phone calls. I know there were over 3000 apps for Danforth last year-- not sure about this year’s stats but I would say its safe to assume at least that this year.

good point, newprov…didn’t think of that

arrgh, this is really frightening! Why are they making calls NOW (i.e. on a Sunday)?

btw, to see if S is even close to you guys:

What were the stats of the finalists?

So true WUSTLHOPEFUL! I just hope to get at least one call!

Only people invited to attend Scholars weekend will be called. Calls are followed up with a notification/information packet via US mail. You can be a candidate for more than one scholarship. You can also be awarded more than one scholarship - for example 1/2 a Danforth and 1/2 a Ervin etc… The benefit to that is that while Danforth is tuition only, some others like Ervin & Rodriguez are tuition plus an annual stipend.

wustlhopeful: i am a moog finalist and i found out yesterday afternoon, i know one other person who also found out…however I suppose there is a chance that they will call today (my caller said the letters are being sent out tomorrow so it must be before then)

omgitsover: go figure…are they calling by last name? If so, there might be a chance…he’s toward the end :)
