When can I declare a major?

I applied as an Undeclared Major in August and I got in. I want to choose Binghamton, but only if I can be a Supply Chain Management major in the School of Management. Is there a way for me to do this before I send in my deposit? Thanks!

as far as i know, being in the school of management (SOM) isn’t just an issue of declaring a major – you have to be accepted to SOM. it is my understanding that to be admitted as a freshmen, you had to have indicated a major within SOM on your application and that if you put undeclared, you are admitted to Harpur. if you are a student in Harpur, you would have to apply for an intra-university transfer to SOM and it can be very difficult to be accepted.

you really need to contact the admissions office directly to ask if there is a way for your admission to be considered to be for SOM – explain your situation and see what they say. don’t rely on any info you get here – you really need to contact that school to make sure you understand your status and options.
