When do accepted students receive their financial aid information?

Thanks!

opps I just realized this question has been answered before.

hey! i got my stuff, but the letter said it was incomplete (i turned in my IDOC two weeks ago)…so…when should i expect my fin aid letter esp that now my info is complete?

I called and the guy said that the IDOC stuff should be processed and at MIT by the end of next week. :-/ no me gusta waiting.

Related: I wish MIT’s “missing info” letters were more accurate/descriptive. Mine said that my parents’ 2007 tax returns were missing. Then I called, and first he said that they didn’t need my 2007 returns, but that my noncustodial parent’s 2008 return and W2s were missing. I knew that MIT had received them, however, because they used to show up on my MyMIT account. I told him that and then he said that it was just my stepmom’s info, which she sent in to IDOC two weeks ago.

MIT Fin aid is starting to make me angry. We have sent in three mailings of info at their request in the past month, in addition to the IDOC and they are STILL asking for more information. Haven’t gotten the letter, but looked online and yesterday they added two more random things - not tax forms- that they need before packaging. So, I guess when the letter comes there won’t be a fin. aid decision. And who knows, maybe they’ll then ask for more stuff, and more stuff, just trying to get out of making an offer. How can five other schools give Fin Aid packages, and MIT not figure it out. Doesn’t look promising. Before S can decide where he’s going to be next year, he needs to know something from MIT. I am disappointed with their handling of this matter.

don’t mail it in, fax it, its faster. just got my packet the other day.
